Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
Recognizing the importance of the Institutional Internal quality system, The UGC has directed all colleges to establish IQAC. Accordingly, the college established its Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 16th June 2016 as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the Institutional level.
Objectives:
The aims and objects of the IQAC are:
1. To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve academic and administrative performance of the college.
2. To promote measures for Institutional functioning towards quality enhancement .
Function:
1. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and
technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
2. Arrangement for feedback responses from students and teachers on quality-related institutional processes;
Benefits of IQAC
1. Ensure heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement;
2. Ensure enhancement and integration among the various activities of the institution .
Activities:
• To develop a system for consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
• To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement .
Strategies:
• This Cell monitors the teaching and research activities. Feedback regarding teaching and other amenities of the College are collected from the students by the cell.
• The Cell visits each department every year to verify the yearly progress of the department with regard to academic and research activities.
• The feedback is evaluated. Good points are appreciated and remedial measures for the weak points are suggested by the IQAC team.
• Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes.
• Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
• Spiritual and moral development of students and all members of the institution.
• Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
